Hi Jacquie!!!!
I love this sport!!!
Have been meaning to get in touch and finally have a minute … we’ve been branding, etc, so time on the computer is not a priority!!
We had so much fun with you and your gang! You made us feel welcome and we had a great time learning about Polocrosse! With the help and encouragement from your “team”, we all eventually got the hang of the racquets, balls, and then
the horse factor! Everyone was patient and kind with us…
My daughter, ####, figures she is going to be a Polocrosse star! Although, admittedly, she took a couple years off of her mom’s life! Her confidence level, and her ability soared while she was playing! Thank you all for that! As for myself? Polocrosse is great fun and although my little horse didn’t think much of the racquets, she sure loved the defending! My son was even inspired by watching on Sunday… Not sure how he’ll do on his horse, but… we’ll see!! Might have to have him ride his Dad’s horse…
Everyone’s encouragement was greatly appreciated by all! Our “kids” had such fun, gained confidence, and learned so much. Everyone has been raving about it since the clinic and now we have another opportunity to “come out and play”!!
We are looking forward to seeing everyone on the 21/22! Thank you all again for taking the time to share this great sport with us, we truly enjoy and appreciate it!
See ya soon!!!
…,
ps… We brought the racquets to our Steve Dunham clinic and the kids did ground practice and then after got in the arena…too much fun…
2008 4H Horse Classic Update,
Have just spoke with the 4H organizers for the upcoming 4H Horse 2008 Classic and here are the times we would be able to choose from to present the sport of Polocrosse followed by some hands on racquets skills for those interested. Attending will be approximately 100 4H members and leaders of various ages and abilities. Great opportunity to present the sport to lots of riders.
Open times for the clinics are:
Wednesday, July 30- 1:30-3 PM
Thursday, July 31- 4:125- 5:30 PM
Friday, August 1- 10:30- 12 noon
If each club representative could gather the names of who could attend what dates and times and let me know by the end of next week we could get back to the 4H group ASAP. Requirements 7 horses/riders one speaker and lots of racquets and balls.

Hello Everyone,
Wow what a great time this clinic was. Don’t know about you but hearing all of that laughter and sportsmanship between players made me smile. It was also reminded me of what the sport of Polocrosse is meant to be families/neighbors getting together for a little sport and fun with their horses. The one family had three generations on the field, very very cool. In addition to all of that great fun it looks like we have secured a central Alberta location to promote the sport. This would be huge to help us promote and support the sports growth in a new region. The facility is called the Diamond N Western World located just 2.5 hrs from Calgary and is an awesome facility for hosting this and future clinics/gamedays.
Thank you to all of you for making this a huge success.
Now what…Hmmm lots of ideas. Here are my follow up plans if you have anything to add or would like to help out please let me know.
