Running through the Goal Posts
HI All
There were several incidents of horses running through the goal posts on the weekend and the question came up as to what rule should apply. Australia has in force a rule that disallows the goal and awards a goal to the opposition if you run your horse through the posts. We have recently adopted the International rules and to date there is no rule about this that I can find although it is one we shouls look at.
I would like to start a section on the web site to discuss rule changes and take a list of changes to Polocrosse Canada once a year. please add you comments to this section for rule changes.
Who are the umpire certified by Bruce Greenslade under the Australian system?
Who is interested in becoming certified as a Polocrosse Canada Umpire?
Should being certified as an umpire be a prerequest to be selected to a special Polocrosse Canada team?

I also think that it is dangerous for those goal wavers when people run through the goal posts and the rule should be adopted by our club.
I am definitely interested in learning to umpire.
I am also in favour of the Aussie rule.
I think that increased umpire certification is a good idea. Where do I sign-up?
Hmmm must be something about this in the International Rule book. When at the WC event they played International Rules and you definitely were not able to run through the goal posts.
Will have to have a look

I am in favour of the Aussie rule on this. Running through the goal posts is extremely dangerous to the goal judges and should definitely be penalized.
